Boning Room Foreperson

Workforce Extensions Geelong is proud to partner with Minerva Foods, one of Australia's leading meat processing businesses, to recruit an experienced Boning Room Foreperson for their Colac operation.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead an established production team within one of Australia's largest lamb processing facilities, where you'll play a key role in driving safety, quality, productivity and team performance.

About the Role

Reporting to the Boning Room Lead Foreperson, you'll be responsible for leading and supporting day-to-day operations within the boning room while ensuring production targets, quality standards and food safety requirements are consistently achieved.

This role is an Afternoon Shift - Working from 2:50pm - 11:50pm with some overtime at the end of the shift occasionally.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and mentoring the boning room team
• Preparing daily rosters and managing labour allocation
• Coaching and developing employees
• Monitoring production performance and efficiencies
• Maintaining HACCP, QA and food safety standards
• Driving workplace safety initiatives
• Completing production reporting and documentation
• Working closely with production leadership to achieve daily targets

About You

We're looking for someone who can confidently lead from the front.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience within meat processing
• Strong boning room or production experience
• Sound knowledge of HACCP, QA and WHS requirements
• Experience managing production teams
• Strong communication and people leadership skills
• Ability to work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Good computer and reporting skills

Qualifications in Meat Processing, Frontline Management or similar will be highly regarded but are not essential.
