Gutter Cleaning Technician

Workforce Extensions Geelong is excited to be working with Power-Vac Gutter Cleaning Co. We are seeking a Senior Gutter Cleaning Technician to join their fast-growing company on a full-time basis.

About the Role

The role of Senior Gutter Cleaning Technician is to independently manage all onsite aspects of their gutter cleaning jobs. Working with another team member, they are required to liaise with the customer, oversee safety, uphold quality control and maintain the equipment. Bird proofing of solar panels, the pruning of overhanging tree limbs and solar panel cleaning are also in the menu of services offered.

Power-Vac utilises industry-leading equipment and established operating procedures, for which full training is provided. A high level of customer service, good communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work well within a team is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate truck-mounted vacuum equipment to clean gutters on residential and commercial sites.

• Occasionally complete additional services including solar panel cleaning, tree pruning and bird-proofing of solar panels.

• Deliver a friendly and professional level of customer service on-site.

• Work independently and as part of a team.

• Manage jobs, take notes, and navigation using the 'ServiceM8' job management software.

• Follow safety procedures when working at heights

• Supporting, overseeing, and training other staff.

About you

This role will suit someone who is practical, safety-focused, who likes working outdoors, is physically fit and has a positive mind set. We are seeking someone capable of working independently while supervising others and is interested in developing their skills to take on greater responsibility as the business expands.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• A willingness to learn and take instruction during training

• A positive approach to working in a small team environment

• The ability to work independently once trained

• An understanding of the importance of safety and following procedures

• Clear and friendly communication when dealing with customers and team members

• An interest training new staff over time

Previous experience in trades, maintenance, cleaning services, or outdoor work will be viewed favourably, but is not essential, as full training is provided.

Skills, Tickets & Experience

• Comfortable working at heights (training and safety equipment provided)

• Reliable and punctual with the ability to follow procedures

• Clear communication and friendly customer service skills

• Current driver's licence - Required

• Working at Heights certification - Willing to obtain

• National Police Check - Willing to obtain

• Working With Children Check - Willing to obtain
