JOB TITLE: NDIS Service Coordinator

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage a team of NDIS Support Workers.
- Oversee and coordinate direct support to participants within the framework of Workforce Extensions North Adelaide Health policy and procedures, and within the context of the person's individual plan and/or goals.
- Manage day-to-day employee matters such as performance, leave, and injuries with the support of the Director. Ask for advice and support when needed.
- Work with staff, participants, families, and other stakeholders to understand and resolve concerns. Escalate to the Director for advice and support as appropriate.
- On-board new starters into the service/s in a way that provides them with the information they need to be successful.
- Create and implement staff rosters and participant schedules ensuring best match for the participant
- Coordinate regular communication channels with support coordinators, employees, participants, and other key stakeholders.
- Attend coordinator team meetings and undertake 1:1 discussions/supervisions with Support Workers.
- Undertaking direct support of participants, where required, including cancellations, periods of leave or staff sick leave.
- Regularly review and refine support strategies to minimise risk and optimise best outcomes for individuals.
- Maintain appropriate personal and professional boundaries.
- Undertake all administrative tasks to ensure accurate records and quality of support including risk assessments, support planning, regular goal reviews and supportability data collection and sign offs.
- Assist with recruitment and orientation of new Support Workers, as required.
Organisational Responsibilities
- At times, be available to work in various Workforce Extensions North Adelaide Health departments, when required.
- Maintain accurate and timely records and collect data as directed by program guidelines and the Director.
- Participate in performance appraisals, training, group supervision, team meetings and
professional development activities.
- Working as part of the team based on an ethos of collaboration, co-operation, respect and mutual support.
- Other duties as directed by the Director or delegate.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
Diploma or Certificate IV in Business Administration or relevant experience
- First aid certificate
- DHS NDIS Clearance
- Current first aid certificate
- CPR certificate
Experience:
3 years' experience in a similar role or industry
Experience with NDIS support planning.
Experience with NDIS billing/coding.
Skills:
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Organised and able to meet deadlines
- Experience with Proda (desirable).
- Experience with ShiftCare (desirable).

- Timely and efficient onboarding of participants.
- Ensure recruitment needs are managed to meet rostering requirements.
- Deal with clients, suppliers and other employees professionally at all times
- Ensure NDIS guidelines are met at all times.
