As part of their continued growth, WE at Workforce Extensions are seeking a full time Accountant to join their Bacchus Marsh team.

Regular duties will include;

  • Complete monthly updates and account reconciliations
  • Reconciliation of STP payroll, Coinvest, Incolink and superannuation accounts
  • Analysis of job costing processes across all departments, civil project management & contract administration
  • Provide administrative assistance to both the managing director and Financial Controller
  • Assist Financial Controller with writing of, and implementation of quality procedures and processes (workflows and new software implementation)
  • Customer invoicing and accounts receivable
  • Assist Financial Controller with month end functions (asset finance amortisation entries, monthly job costing journals and reconciliation of clearing accounts)
  • Maintain subcontractor insurances/licences
  • Ensure civil procurement processes are followed
  • Provide high level of support to resource department
  • Be a key point of contact for internal stakeholders for client and resource department queries

To be considered we are seeking applicants who have the following experience, skills and attributes;

  • Previous hands on accounting and bookkeeping experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to be hands on in all aspects of the financial functions of the business
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Sound administrative skills with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy
  • Outstanding attention to detail with a commitment to meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Excellent data entry (both numeric and alphanumeric) skills
  • Flexibility to perform well in both autonomous and team-based settings
