As part of their growth and continued demand for services we are pleased to be working with the team at Sertori & Co in seeking an experienced Accountant who is seeking a long term and rewarding role. Please note that this position is available to candidates who are at the early stage of their career or those looking for senior/advancement opportunities.

Typical responsibilities for this position will include;

  • Preparation of annual financial reports
  • Quarterly BAS reporting
  • Preparation of annual taxation returns and other statutory requirements
  • Provide adivce to a broad range of clients
  • Preparation of management reports, financial statements, tax returns and BAS for individual, partnership, company, trust clients
  • Liaise with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients including the ATO and ASIC
  • Preparation of correspondence to clients and other bodies as required

Experience and skills required:

  • Experience with MYOB systems and other accounting software platforms
  • Proven experience in tax compliance work
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to learn and gain knowledge quickly
  • High level numeracy and reconciliation skills, with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy with figures
  • Knowledge of relevant ATO legislation
  • Ability to use initiative, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills: written and verbal
  • Team player with initiative, flexibility & integrity
  • CPA or CA qualification (or studying toward)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
