Workforce Extensions Geelong is currently recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded, family-owned civil construction and earthworks company based in Geelong. Known for delivering quality outcomes across subdivisions, roads, drainage, and council infrastructure, our client is seeking experienced and motivated individuals to join their growing team.

With strong ongoing demand across the region, several positions are available for immediate or upcoming starts.

Positions Available

Moxy Driver - Casual

• Immediate start available
• Local civil and earthworks sites
• Casual position with potential for ongoing work

All Round Operator (Excavator Focus) - Full-Time, Permanent

• Operating Excavators ranging from 1.5 to 30 tonne
• Full-time, permanent position
• Work spans subdivisions, roadworks, drainage, council upgrades, and bulk earthworks

Truck & Trailer Driver - Full-Time, Permanent

• Must hold a current HC licence and be experienced with civil work sites
• Responsible for transporting materials and machinery between local sites
• Full-time, permanent position with regular overtime

About the Work

The company operates primarily across the Geelong region, with Monday to Friday hours and overtime regularly available. Projects include:

• Residential and commercial subdivisions
• Road construction and upgrades
• Drainage and underground services (stormwater, sewer, water)
• Parks, sporting grounds, and public infrastructure
• Wetlands, car parks, and detailed excavation
• Water infrastructure and treatment plant works
• Bulk earthmoving

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidates will bring experience, reliability, and a strong work ethic. Key attributes include:

• Excavator experience across a range of machine sizes (1.5 to 30 tonne)
• Competence in final trim, trenching, and detailed earthworks
• Familiarity with using multiple attachments (buckets, augers, forks, breakers)
• Experience in bulk earthworks and civil site preparation
• A current HC licence (for driving roles)
• White Card and relevant plant operating tickets
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
• Attention to safety, quality, and equipment care
• Willingness to undertake pre-starts and daily maintenance checks
