Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Casual Cleaner to join our cleaning team in the Dubbo region. This role involves delivering high-quality cleaning services in accordance with contract requirements, workplace health and safety standards, and company procedures.
Successful applicants will work as part of a small team to maintain clean, safe, and hygienic facilities.
Rates of Pay
$32.31 per hour ordinary, at Level 1 on the Cleaning Services Award 2010.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning Duties
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and waste removal
- Clean amenities such as toilets, kitchens, and break areas
- Replenish consumables (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.)
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly
- Follow cleaning schedules, checklists, and site-specific instructions
Quality & Compliance
- Maintain high cleaning standards in line with contract requirements
- Adhere to all Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) policies and procedures
- Report hazards, incidents, or maintenance issues to the Cleaning Supervisor
- Ensure work areas are left clean, safe, and secure
Teamwork & Communication
- Work cooperatively with other cleaners and supervisors
- Follow instructions from the Cleaning Supervisor
- Communicate any issues affecting service delivery promptly
Skills & Experience - Essential
- Ability to follow instructions and work to a cleaning schedule
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
Skills & Experience - Desirable
- Experience working on government, education, or large commercial sites
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
Requirements
- Ability to work on a casual basis
- Police Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Working rights in Australia
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
