Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Cleaning Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning operations in the Dubbo region. The role involves supervising a small team of casual cleaners (2-3 staff), ensuring all cleaning services are delivered to a high standard, in line with contract requirements, WHS regulations, and client expectations.
This position is offered on a casual basis with full-time hours to start, with the opportunity for ongoing or permanent employment based on performance and contract needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision & Team Leadership
- Supervise, support, and coordinate the daily activities of 2-3 casual cleaners
- Allocate tasks and ensure staff are working efficiently and safely
- Provide on-the-job training, guidance, and performance feedback
- Assist with onboarding new cleaning staff
Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure all cleaning duties meet contract standards
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks
- Address cleaning issues or complaints promptly and professionally
- Ensure compliance with WHS policies, procedures, and safe work practices
Operational Duties
- Participate in cleaning duties as required
- Manage stock levels of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Report maintenance issues, incidents, or hazards to management
- Complete basic reporting, checklists, and timesheets
Communication & Client Liaison
- Act as the first point of contact for on-site cleaning staff
- Communicate effectively with management regarding staffing, performance, and site issues
- Maintain a professional relationship with client representatives
Skills & Experience Essential
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning (supervisory experience preferred)
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
- Knowledge of WHS requirements and safe cleaning practices
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of cleaning work
Skills & Experience Desirable
- Experience working on government or large commercial contracts
- Understanding of cleaning audits and quality assurance processes
Requirements
