Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Cleaning Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning operations in the Dubbo region. The role involves supervising a small team of casual cleaners (2-3 staff), ensuring all cleaning services are delivered to a high standard, in line with contract requirements, WHS regulations, and client expectations.

This position is offered on a casual basis with full-time hours to start, with the opportunity for ongoing or permanent employment based on performance and contract needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervision & Team Leadership
• Supervise, support, and coordinate the daily activities of 2-3 casual cleaners
• Allocate tasks and ensure staff are working efficiently and safely
• Provide on-the-job training, guidance, and performance feedback
• Assist with onboarding new cleaning staff

Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure all cleaning duties meet contract standards
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks
• Address cleaning issues or complaints promptly and professionally
• Ensure compliance with WHS policies, procedures, and safe work practices

Operational Duties

• Participate in cleaning duties as required
• Manage stock levels of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Report maintenance issues, incidents, or hazards to management
• Complete basic reporting, checklists, and timesheets

Communication & Client Liaison

• Act as the first point of contact for on-site cleaning staff
• Communicate effectively with management regarding staffing, performance, and site issues
• Maintain a professional relationship with client representatives

Skills & Experience Essential

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning (supervisory experience preferred)
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills
• Knowledge of WHS requirements and safe cleaning practices
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to meet the physical demands of cleaning work

Skills & Experience Desirable

• Experience working on government or large commercial contracts
• Understanding of cleaning audits and quality assurance processes

Requirements

• Police Check (or willingness to obtain one)
• Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
