About the Role

Working from the company's modern, well equipped workshop, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a diverse fleet of civil construction equipment and heavy vehicles.

No two days are the same. One day you could be carrying out scheduled servicing on excavators and loaders, while the next you'll be diagnosing hydraulic faults, repairing heavy trucks or preparing machinery for major civil projects. If you enjoy variety and take pride in keeping equipment operating at its best, this role will keep you challenged.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Servicing and preventative maintenance of earthmoving equipment and heavy vehicles.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Completing breakdown repairs and major component replacements.
• Maintaining service records and workshop documentation.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys working on heavy equipment, takes pride in producing quality work and wants to be part of a business that values experience and reliability.

To be successful, you'll ideally have:

• A trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent.
• Experience working on earthmoving equipment, heavy vehicles, civil plant or agricultural machinery.
• Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills.
• Experience working with hydraulic systems will be highly regarded.
• The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a close knit team.
• A current driver's licence. An HR licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
