A Personal Assistant is responsible for providing support to our Participant in a way that ensures the safety of themselves, our Participant, members of the public. Personal Assistants are required to do this in a professional yet caring manner and comply with the Disability Standards and safety requirements, together with treating our Participant with respect and dignity in a way that focuses on skill development and social inclusion in the community.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Personal & Hygiene Care; ensuring our Participant is dressed appropriately and hygeine is maintained.
- Domestic Assistance; assist our Participant in preparing for the following days activities, asist and encourange our Participant to complete their domestic duties such as cooking, washing, loading and unloading the discwaher, etc.
- Social Support & Community Access including attending appointments, community events and shopping trips.
- Medication Prompting
The ideal Candidate will have:
- An interest in Photography
- Good knowlenge base of Apple iOS to assist our Particiant with their IT needs (photography, music, etc)
What you need:
- Australian Driver's License
- First Aid + CPR Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Working with Children Check (paid employment) or Vulnerable People (or willing to obtain)
