Dispatch & Forklift Operator

Workforce Extensions Geelong is currently seeking an experienced Dispatch & Forklift Operator for an immediate opportunity based in Hoppers Crossing with a leading supplier.

This role offers a great opportunity to join a busy warehouse and dispatch operation where no two days are the same. We are also looking to connect with quality candidates for upcoming opportunities across Geelong and Melbourne's western suburbs.

About the Role

Working within a fast-paced warehouse environment, you will be responsible for coordinating dispatch activities, operating forklifts, managing inventory movements, and ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently.

This position requires a hands-on individual who is equally comfortable operating a forklift, preparing orders, and managing computer-based dispatch and inventory systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving incoming stock and deliveries
• Picking, packing and preparing customer orders
• Loading and unloading trucks using a forklift
• Managing dispatch documentation and freight bookings
• Processing delivery dockets, invoices and purchase orders
• Updating inventory and stock movement records
• Conducting stock checks and cycle counts
• Ensuring warehouse presentation and organisation is maintained
• Liaising with customers, suppliers and transport providers
• Assisting with general warehouse and yard duties as required
• Following workplace safety procedures and maintaining compliance standards

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Current LF Forklift Licence
• Demonstrated experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or dispatch environment
• Previous dispatch, stores, warehouse or logistics experience
• Strong computer skills and confidence using inventory, dispatch or ERP systems
• Experience processing invoices, delivery documentation and receiving stock
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable work ethic and commitment to workplace safety

Highly Regarded

• Experience within industrial, manufacturing, engineering or trade supply environments
• Previous experience with freight booking systems
• Experience using inventory management or warehouse management software
• Current driver's licence and reliable transport
