Workforce Extensions Geelong are currently partnering with an extremely reputable and exciting client in Geelong to find a newly created Finance Manager role. You will be an instrumental part of the group working across four very well-known Geelong institutions, Murphys, Westend (formerly Eureka Hotel) Safe inspect and Safe Inspect commercial.

This key position will contribute to the overall financial operations of the group focussing on reporting & analysis, payroll and AR/AP functions of the business streams.

To be considered we are seeking candidate who enjoys a challenge and is looking for a long term, career role. Candidates who are currently completing (or are about to commence) a CA or CPA qualification will also be supported.

Working from their Geelong head office you will be responsible for performing the following duties;

  • Weekly & Monthly reporting & analysis of business performance
  • Prepare financial reports for management
  • Perform day to day and month end accounting tasks
  • Lead the Budgets & Forecasting process
  • Lead the accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll function
  • Reconcile accounts and maintain the GL
  • Liaise with external tax accountant
  • Maintain asset register including monitoring registrations and insurances
  • Process staff reimbursements
  • Reconcile bank and card statements
  • Maintain filing systems and databases.
  • Assist in developing and implementing new administrative systems where required



What you will bring to the role:

  • Previous hands on accounting and bookkeeping experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting (preferred)
  • Extensive experience using EPS software platforms and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to be hands on in all aspects of the financial functions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels



This role will be offered as full time permanent with a salary to be negotiated based on previous experience. Both degree qualified candidates and experienced Bookkeepers are encouraged to apply.
