Fitter

Our client within the manufacturing industry in the Illawarra is seeking an experienced Workshop Fitter/Machinist to join our team in the Illawarra.

What you do:

• Perform fitting and machining tasks where required
• General fabrication and welding support when required
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, and carry out required repairs
• Working on a range of workshop machinery
• Interpret technical drawings and produce quality jobs as per company standards and requirements
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, within specified timeframes
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of workshop processes and practices

Qualifications:

• Trade qualification as a Fitter/Machinist
• Previous experience as a Workshop Fitter/Machinist in a manufacturing environment
