Workforce Extensions is recruiting on behalf of a leading commercial construction company with over 50 years of experience. Known for looking after their staff well, they are delivering multiple projects located about 30 to 45 minutes from Ballarat. We are seeking a Site Foreman and a Carpenter/Leading Hand for ongoing work lasting 12 to 18 months, with potential for permanent roles.

Site Foreman
This role involves managing commercial projects valued up to $5 million. The initial contract is six months full-time, with flexible engagement options. You will oversee site operations, coordinate subcontractors, ensure safety and quality and work closely with office support. Salary is negotiable based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily site activities and program delivery
• Communicate with subcontractors and project teams
• Maintain safety, compliance, and quality standards
• Report progress to management

Requirements:

• Experience supervising commercial projects (ideally <$5M)
• White Card and Victorian driver's licence
• Cert IV or Diploma in Building & Construction (or trade equivalent)
• Strong communication and organisational skills

Carpenter / Leading Hand
Work between two sites near Ballarat (approx. 3 days at one site, 2 at the other). Must commit until at least end of January 2026. Travel expenses covered within reason. Tasks include carpentry, assisting Foreman duties and reading plans. Salary negotiable based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Perform skilled carpentry on commercial sites
• Assist Foreman and site coordination
• Ensure safety and compliance

Requirements:

• 5+ years' commercial carpentry experience
• White Card and trade qualification
• Reliable, team player with good communication
• Willing to travel between sites
