About the Role
We are currently seeking a Trade Assistant to join a reputable handyman and property maintenance company based in Townsville. This is an ongoing opportunity with an immediate start for the right candidate, offering consistent work across a variety of residential and light commercial projects.
You'll assist with hands-on tasks such as cabinetry installation, fencing, tiling, minor carpentry, repairs, and general handyman duties.
Duties Include
Assisting with installation of cabinetry, shelving, doors, and fixtures
Supporting trades with building and repairing fences
Helping with tiling prep, cutting, and basic installation tasks
Using power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently
General labouring, clean-up, and material handling
Following all site safety procedures and instructions
Maintaining a tidy and safe work environment
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Previous experience as a trade assistant, labourer, or in handyman-style work
Confident use of hand and power tools
Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a small team
Physically fit, reliable, and safety conscious
Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
Basic carpentry or tiling knowledge highly regarded
