Health and Safety Officer

• $50 per hour
• Full time hours
• Living away from home, accommodation and travel expenses all paid for
• Commencing ASAP

Health and Safety Officers are required to assist in the Victorian State Governments' emergency response to flood effected areas across our state.

The role:

These positions involve maintaining site safety in locations such as site hubs, construction and waste facilities.
Positions will be offered as full time casual with an estimated projected length of up to 6 months. Working hours are Monday - Friday, with weekend work required based on project schedules.

Duties in the role include but are not limited to:

• Review of SWMS
• Completing daily safety checklists
• Manage induction database
• Complete site inductions
• Assist with daily pre-starts
• Complete site progress reports

About you

We are seeking detail focused candidates with a background in safety related position. A minimum cert IV in Health and Safety is preferred.

In addition, the following skills and attributes are required:

• The ability to work in different locations based on work requirements (positions may involve reguar stays away from home)
• Strong tech skills (using tablets) with the ability to follow procedures
• Be punctual, reliable and committed to completing tasks
• Display strong written and verbal communication skills
