Workforce Extensions Geelong is seeking a talented and customer-focused Hire Controller to join the team at Geelong and Coastal Hire on a maternity leave assignment. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a supportive and established family-owned business that has been operating for more than 35 years and is now one of the region's largest suppliers of equipment to the Event and Construction sectors.

This role is offered as a labour-hire placement through Workforce Extensions, covering a parental leave period.

About the Role

You will play a key role in supporting daily hire operations, working closely with customers, account managers, and the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

• Taking orders and off hires from customers and account managers
• Managing customer sales inquiries and processing hire contracts
• Raising purchase orders and handling accounts inquiries
• Answering phone calls, emails, and providing excellent customer service
• Coordinating with the team regarding site-specific equipment requirements
• Preparing quotes, price lists, and general administration including data entry and filing

About You

• Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly, professional approach
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong multitasking skills
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• A team player who can also work independently
• Willingness to learn and adapt in the role
• Previous experience in plant hire or asset management is an advantage, but not essential
