Landscape Labourers / Gardeners

Our clients are seeking casual experienced gardening/landscaping staff to join their expanding team.

The positions available are for CASUAL WORK with the possibility of future permanent employment for the right candidate/s.

We have several roles available.

South Eastern suburbs (Clyde North), ASAP start.

Must be available to work Monday to Friday.

The company also has large scale community projects currently operating in Mulgrave, Knoxfield, Doncaster and Ascot Vale areas.

Key Duties:

• Horticulture work
• Landscaping
• Planting, fertilizing & watering
• Brush cutting
• Turf and lawn maintenance including using a ride-on mower
• Tree install

Skills & Experience:

Candidates must possess:

• Certificate II or III in Horticulture
• Minimum 3 years landscaping experience at horticulture sites, including turf and lawn maintenance, planting, brush-cutting and landscaping

• Demonstrated experience and sound knowledge of using a ride-on mower
• A current manual driver's licence and access to reliable transport. A MR licence is advantageous
• A current construction White / Red card
• A Chem certificate / Chemical spraying experience is advantageous
• Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• Chainsaw Safety ticket/training
• PPE gear including steel capped boots, safety glasses gloves and hi-viz clothing
• Availability Monday - Friday and a willingness to work weekends as required
• A proactive attitude, motivated to work outdoors and an eye for machinery
• Excellent customer service skills, good interpersonal skills and a willingness to follow instructions
• A sound understanding of standard Occupational Health & Safety procedures
• A neat appearance
