Machine Operator

Position: Brake Press Operator & Engineering workers.

About the Role:

Workforce Extensions| Scoresby's clients are seeking experienced and reliable Brake Press Operator, Router Machine Operator, Folding Machine & other engineering machine operators and engineering workers to join their manufacturing teams. The Brake Press role involves operating CNC press brake machinery to produce high-quality sheet metal components in accordance with engineering drawings and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC and/or manual press brake machines.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Select and install tooling required for production jobs.
• Measure and inspect finished components to ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform machine adjustments to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
• Complete production tasks within required timeframes.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

• Trade qualification in Engineering, Fabrication, or Sheet Metal.
• Previous experience operating CNC press brake machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers and tape measures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable work ethic and positive attitude.

Desirable:

• Experience with CNC programming and machine setup.
• Forklift licence.
• Overhead crane experience.
