Manufacturing Manager

About the Role
Workforce Extensions Ballarat is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client, GTE Technology, for an experienced and driven Manufacturing Manager to lead day to day operations at their Ballarat facility. This is a rare opportunity to join a well established, innovative manufacturer delivering turnkey solutions to the seed, feed and food processing industries. The successful candidate will oversee production planning, team leadership, project execution and continuous improvement while working closely with GTE's engineering, sales and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end to end manufacturing operations to meet delivery, quality and cost objectives.
• Oversee production planning in line with customer requirements and project deadlines.
• Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams including engineering and sales to align technical and operational activities.
• Manage and develop the manufacturing team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
• Monitor inventory levels and supplier performance to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Support ERP implementation and optimisation with a focus on process accuracy and costing.
• Uphold workplace health and safety standards and identify opportunities for risk mitigation.

About You
We are looking for a highly motivated leader with a strong background in manufacturing and a passion for operational excellence.

You will bring

• Minimum five years' experience in a manufacturing management or production leadership role.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and process improvement principles.
• Proven project and workflow management skills.
• Ability to lead and coach teams, communicate clearly and build strong cross-functional relationships.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• A current driver's licence.

Desirable

• Tertiary qualifications in Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in machinery or mechanical production, or within the seed, feed or food processing industries.
