Available Positions
Metal Worker (Fettler) - Day Shift
Shift: Monday to Friday - 6:00am to 2:17pm
Roster: 9-day fortnight (every second Friday off)
Key duties
Using air grinders and air chisels to clean and finish cast metal components
Removing excess metal, runners and flash from castings
Knocking castings out of moulds
Operating shot blasting equipment
Using jib cranes and mechanical aids to move cast products
Packing finished castings for dispatch
General foundry labouring tasks as required
Production Moulder - Afternoon Shift
Shift: Afternoon shift - 2:00pm to 10:17pm
Roster: 9-day fortnight (every second Friday off)
This role works within the loop line moulding area, preparing sand moulds for the casting process.
Key duties
Loading and unloading patterns (core moulds) onto rollers by hand or forklift
Cleaning and preparing patterns for production
Operating sand mixers to fill moulds
Stripping patterns using manipulators or hoists
Cleaning sand moulds and applying mould paint
Adding cores where required
Assembling moulds and transporting to pouring plates
Moving moulds along the pouring line
Additional responsibilities
Weekly mixer calibration and record keeping
Cleaning mixer barrels and maintaining equipment
Emptying sand waste bins using a forklift
Small core making using CO₂ hardening process
Painting small moulds and cores with refractory paint
What we're looking for
Experience working in metal manufacturing, foundry or heavy industrial environments
Forklift licence required
Comfortable performing manual, hands-on work
Experience using hand or pneumatic tools
Ability to follow safety procedures and production processes
Reliable with good attendance and work ethic
