Production Manager

Our new client, a specialist manufacturing business who produce high quality products for major retail/wholesale supermarkets, is currently seeking a quality focused leader for the position of a Production Supervisor on a full-time basis.

About the role

This position will oversee a team of committed employees, to promote and inspire them to not only each and exceed daily targets, but also create a fun and team friendly environment. This role will also perform the following duties on a regular basis;

• Ensure line operates to its optimum capacity in accordance with internal procedures
• Forecast/prepare operating schedules and assign personnel to labour requirements
• Ensure that finished products follow to established specifications of quality and that Quality Assurance practises are being followed
• Train, educate and manage production personnel along with conducting Toolbox talks
• Ensure appropriate stock levels of finished products are maintained
• Performing hands on tasks as required (assisting with line operations)

About you

Applicants with the following skills, attributes and experience are encouraged to apply;

• Previous Supervisor experience in production/manufacturing environments (experience with Food products or Food production would be highly advantageous)
• The ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders
• Effective leadership skills with the ability to train and develop team members
• Strong administrative, reporting and forecasting skills
• Focus towards workplace quality and safety
• Flexibility to work across day and afternoon shifts as required
• Understanding of HACCP, GMP and OHS requirements

All candidates will be required to have had three doses of a covid-19 vaccination and the ability to undergo a pre-employment medical including a drug & alcohol screen.
