Production Welder

Workforce Extensions Footscray, our valued client is seeking a professional and quality focused Production Welder to join their growing team.

An innovative and developing business our client, which is a leading Australian manufacturer of electrical switchboard manufacturing facilities based in Thomastown, you'll play a pivotal role in assembling cutting-edge electrical switchboard facilities. This exciting opportunity is for afternoon shift, so you will start on dayshift Monday - Friday 7am-3.06pm you will then move across to afternoon shift 3pm - 11.06pm. Looking for a highly motivated Production Welder, to become an integral part of the team. This is a Temp to permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

Key Requirments:

• Switchboard welding experience would be ideal, however welding experience with 1.0 - 3.0mm mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel would be good.

• MIG welding experience is a necessity. TIG experience would be looked at favourably.
• Able to read drawings is essential. Attention to finishing and dressing of welds to a quality presentation is important. You must be able to communicate and receive verbal instruction, fill out daily production reports, etc...
• Regardless of qualifications, the applicant must present the appropriate skill set to complete the work required.
• Experience with Safety and Quality Systems would be highly desirable, as would experience in Good Manufacturing Principles (GMP).
