Quarry Ground Operator

Workforce Extensions Footscray, our valued client is seeking a professional, quality and focused experienced Quarry Ground Operator to join their growing team in Beveridge.

This exciting opportunity will be on dayshift Monday - Friday 6am - 6.00pm, then every second Saturday as required. This is a permanent opportunity for the right candidate. The working at their Beveridge site. There are opportunities for career advancement and upskilling, you can gain additional qualifications.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting skilled Plant Operators with a range of Quarry tasks, including site preparation, equipment handling, Demolition, and general labouring duties
• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
• Following all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues
• Demonstrating a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and develop new skills

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a similar construction or Quarry labourer role, preferably in the Trades & Services industry.
• Good physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
• A positive attitude and a collaborative approach to working within a team
• A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to and from work sites
• Demonstrated ability to understand and perform to Occupational, Health, Safety and Environment (OHS&E) requirements

• Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
• Capacity to work in all weather conditions
• High level of personal work standards
• Demonstrated commitment to Workplace Safety.
• Have an excellent "can do"attitude

What you'll Need

To be successful across these positions you will have the following certifications:

• Current White Card and relevant tickets (Frontend Loader, Excavator, tickets highly regarded).

• Preferred to have a Manual Driver's License and reliable transport.
• A First Aid Certificate (an advantage).
• Current Police Check.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to complete a Pre- Employment Medical check.
