Steamatic is a national leader in disaster recovery and restoration services, delivering solutions that save property and restore lives. As the business continues to grow across regional Victoria, we are seeking an experienced operational leader to help establish and develop our presence in the Warrnambool region.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing day-to-day restoration operations, supporting business development activities, managing staff, and ensuring exceptional service delivery to clients and insurance partners.
Working closely with senior management, you will play a key role in growing the Warrnambool operation while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Coordinating and overseeing restoration and recovery projects
- Leading, mentoring and supporting field-based restoration technicians
- Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning
- Building and maintaining relationships with insurers, loss adjusters, and commercial clients
- Managing job scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation
- Monitoring job profitability, invoicing accuracy, and operational performance
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures, WHS requirements and industry standards
- Supporting business growth initiatives within the region
- Participating in major loss and disaster recovery events when required
About You
You are a practical and commercially minded leader who enjoys building teams, developing relationships, and delivering exceptional service outcomes.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Experience in operations, service delivery, team leadership, or business management
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead and motivate field-based teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of operational performance metrics
- Experience within restoration, insurance, construction, trade services, or a related industry will be highly regarded, but is not essential
