We have an excellent opportunity for you to join one of Australia's leading engineering businesses with strong capabilities in the design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning of energy efficient mineral processing equipment and complete plants for a wide range of minerals. This role is FIFO in the Goldfields

This is a contract FIFO opportunity with an immediate start with a review in May 2027. You'll be working on one particular gold in Kalgoorlie. This is a position where your primary function is ensuring workplace safety is forefront and practised in specific areas or operations.

As the Safety Supervisor, you'll be responsible for managing risks and making sure work is done safely in all areas on the contract pertaining to our client. You'll need to follow the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022. Your skills will be key in overseeing all operations are done safely, making sure all policies and procedures are followed, and help continue to build a strong safety culture on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide visible, practical and proactive safety leadership across the project site
  • Finding and managing workplace dangers and putting safety measures in place.
  • Making sure all work follows the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022 and other relevant laws.
  • Watching over the work of others and making sure safe practices are always used.
  • Be approachable, talking with workers and clearly sharing safety information.
  • Making sure workers have the right training and skills to do their jobs safely.

What We Need From You:

  • Safety planning - Site safety requirements implemented before mobilisation and maintained throughout project delivery
  • High-risk activities supported by current SWMS/JSA and verified field controls
  • Formal WHS/OHS qualification, such as Certificate IV, Diploma or higher qualification in Work Health and Safety.
  • ICAM, or equivalent incident investigation training.
  • Ability to build trust with site teams, contractors and clients, ensure rules are followed and keep safety standards high.
