About Us

Workforce Extensions Melbourne CBD is an established labour hire company supplying skilled trade workers to commercial and infrastructure construction projects across Melbourne and regional Victoria. We provide experienced tradespeople to client sites on a project-by-project basis to meet fluctuating labour demands.

Positions Available

We are currently seeking experienced trade-qualified construction workers for the following on-hire roles:

STEEL FIXER

Salary: $45 - $55 per hour + super

• Cutting, bending and fixing steel reinforcement
• Reading reinforcement and structural drawings
• Preparing steel for concrete pours

BRICKLAYER

Salary: $35- $40 per hour + super

• Laying bricks and blocks to plans
• Mixing and applying mortar
• Constructing and repairing masonry structures

WELDER

Salary: $35 - $40 per hour + super

• On-site arc, MIG, TIG and oxy-acetylene welding
• Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Inspecting and repairing welds

RIGGER

Salary: $50-$60 per hour + super

• Slinging and securing loads
• Directing crane operations
• Installing and dismantling structural components
• Working safely at heights

PAINTER

Salary: $35-$45 per hour + super

• Surface preparation
• Applying paints and coatings using brush, roller and spray equipment
• Internal and external painting works

Requirements (All Roles)

• Relevant trade-level skills and experience in the nominated occupation
• Experience working on construction or infrastructure sites
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Relevant licences or tickets where required
• Ability to work across multiple client sites on an on-hire basis
