About the Role

Workforce Extensions is proud to be partnering with Chief Group, a respected name in Victoria's civil construction industry. We're seeking an experienced Surveyor to join their team and play a key role in delivering a diverse range of infrastructure and civil projects across the state.

Reporting to the Survey Manager and working closely with site management teams, you'll be an integral part of project delivery ensuring accuracy, efficiency and quality outcomes across all stages of construction.

Key Duties

You'll be responsible for undertaking all field survey requirements in civil construction, including:

Construction set out for roads, earthworks, drainage, structures and utilities

Asbuilt surveys and volumetric pickups

Drone surveys and data capture

Verifying designs vs existing site conditions

Establishing and validating survey control

Machine control uploads and support

Survey computations and data processing

Liaising with project engineers, supervisors and site personnel

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

Solid experience in surveying for civil construction projects

Proficiency in 12d and 12d Field (highly regarded)

Understanding of GPS machine control systems and survey equipment

Relevant Surveying qualification and White Card

Strong time management and communication skills

The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

A proactive, problem-solving mindset
