Trade Assistant

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Trade Assistant to join a reputable handyman and property maintenance company based in Townsville. This is an ongoing opportunity with an immediate start for the right candidate, offering consistent work across a variety of residential and light commercial projects.

You'll assist with hands-on tasks such as cabinetry installation, fencing, tiling, minor carpentry, repairs, and general handyman duties.

Duties Include

• Assisting with installation of cabinetry, shelving, doors, and fixtures
• Supporting trades with building and repairing fences
• Helping with tiling prep, cutting, and basic installation tasks
• Using power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently
• General labouring, clean-up, and material handling
• Following all site safety procedures and instructions
• Maintaining a tidy and safe work environment

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Previous experience as a trade assistant, labourer, or in handyman-style work

• Confident use of hand and power tools
• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a small team
• Physically fit, reliable, and safety conscious
• Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
• Basic carpentry or tiling knowledge highly regarded
