Warehouse Supervisor

Our client is a leading supplier of specialised civil, electrical, plumbing and rail products to a range of commercial customers with more than twenty years industry experience. As part of their continual success and due to an increase in demand for services WE at Workforce Extensions are thrilled to be supporting their team in seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join their team.

The key function of this position is to support the day to day operations of the warehouse and logistics area of the business. Initially this position will have a focus being hands on and move into a more managerial position over time. General responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Receive incoming deliveries and process outgoing orders
• Loading and unloading of vehicles using forklift
• Assist with customer order enquiries
• Complete manual pick packing tasks as required
• Ensure work area is kept in an orderly and presentable state
• Complete basic data entry of stock into internal operating system

To be considered we are hoping to speak with candidates who have the following skills, attributes and experience;

• Ability to communicate effectively and lead small teams
• Hold a current Forklift (LF) licence with experience
• Ability to complete hands on, physical tasks when required
• Basic computer literacy skills (MYOB and internal ERP system used)
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Have the ability to work well in small teams and autonomously when required
• Genuine interest in providing a positive customer experience

Previous working experience/knowledge of building products/industry would be considered advantageous but not essential. The successful applicant will be joining a close-knit and collaborative team and be given all the help and training needed to excel in the role.
