Warehouse/Despatch Operator

Our client is a leading wholesaler and manufacturing company who supply a variety of products to the construction industry to customers in Victoria and NSW.

WE at Workforce Extensions are thrilled to be supporting their team in seeking an experienced Warehouse/Despatch Operator to join their Mildura team.

The key function of this position is to support the day to day dealings with the company's trade and retail customer base. The role will see the individual assist Account Managers in the placement of orders and ensuring customers' expectations are managed effectively from office to despatch, some of the responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Receive incoming deliveries and process outgoing orders
• Conduct deliveries when required
• Assist with customer order enquiries
• Complete manual pick packing tasks as required
• Ensure work area is kept in an orderly and presentable state
• Complete basic data entry of stock into internal operating system

To be considered we are hoping to speak with candidates who have the following skills, attributes and experience;

• Forklift (LF) and Truck (minimum MR) licences
• Ability to complete hands on, physical tasks when required
• Basic computer literacy skills (MYOB and internal ERP system used)
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Have the ability to work well in small teams and autonomously when required
• Genuine interest in providing a positive customer experience

Previous working experience/knowledge of building products/industry would be considered advantageous but not essential. The successful applicant will be joining a close-knit and collaborative team and be given all the help and training needed to excel in the role.
