A busy hospital in Heidelberg is looking for a reliable and motivated Waste Services Officer to help keep the site running smoothly. This hands-on role plays an important part in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised hospital environment while supporting essential sustainability efforts.
This is an active, practical role suited to someone who enjoys staying on the move and working as part of a team. You'll be involved in the day-to-day handling and movement of waste streams across the hospital, including general, recycling, and clinical waste.
Your duties will include:
Emptying bins into compactors
Washing and maintaining bins
Assisting the truck driver during collection runs
General housekeeping duties
Relabelling bin stickers as required
Supporting the supervisor with additional tasks as needed
Hours:
Various shifts across Monday to Friday from 5am to 9pm
A strong work ethic and positive attitude
Comfortable working independently and with others
Physically fit and happy to be on your feet throughout the day
