You'll lead by example, support an experienced team, mentor apprentices and help ensure projects are delivered on time, safely and to the highest quality standards.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning daily workflow to maximise productivity and meet project deadlines.
  • Mentor apprentices and provide guidance and technical support to team members.
  • Monitor quality, ensuring work is completed right the first time.
  • Promote a safe, organised and efficient workshop environment.
  • Work closely with management to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Help maintain the strong team culture and reputation Tuddy's Engineering has built over many years.

About You

  • Trade qualifications in Fabrication, Boilermaking or a related trade.
  • Proven experience in structural steel fabrication and welding.
  • The ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong organisational and problem solving skills.
  • Previous leadership experience or the confidence and attitude to step into your first Leading Hand role.
  • A commitment to quality workmanship, workplace safety and continuous improvement.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to earn the respect of those around you.
