On behalf of Geelong Coastal Hire, Workforce Extensions Geelong are seeking a reliable and organised Yard Coordinator to join the operations team in Corio. The role involves preparing equipment for hire, general maintenance, cleaning, loading/unloading, and ensuring the yard is safe and organized. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in presentation, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
- Hours: 4:00am - 1:30pm, Monday to Friday
- Initial training will be completed within standard daytime hours until confident in the role
- Pay rate: $33-$38p/hr
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload equipment safely onto vehicles using forklifts or manually
- Clean, inspect, and prepare hire equipment for delivery or collection.
- Perform basic maintenance checks on equipment (e.g., fuel, oil, tyre pressure)
- Organize and maintain the yard area to ensure efficiency and safety
- Assist with stock control and inventory checks
- Monitor for any equipment damage or issues and report to the supervisor
- Ensure tools and machinery are stored safely and correctly
- Provide general assistance to drivers, workshop staff, and customers as needed
We're Looking For
- Experience in yard, logistics or hire industry operations
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Forklift licence required
- Test & Tag accreditation is highly regarded
- Truck licence (MR or above) a bonus but not essential
- Flexibility to work more hours during peak seasons
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Comfortable with early starts and physical work
